…what my professor meant when he said I’d want to rip my hair out during this independent study. Of course, I do that during any sort of web design, but it’s very difficult to figure out the problem in something you don’t really understand yet. Okay, so I’m doing this tutorial, right? And I enter all the ActionScript in correctly, right? I even have the finished product open that the tutorial-maker included. The script is exactly the same, but on mine it produces an error. Makes me want to shoot myself. Well, blogging about my problems won’t change them, so it’s back to Flash I go!

Well, the problem was that the tutorial I was doing was based in ActionScript 2, which is outdated by ActionScript3. So much of the code that I put in just wasn’t gonna fly. Of course, they couldn’t tell me this at the beginning of the tutorial so that I wouldn’t waste my time. But you know, whatever. Whatever! I’ll find a tutorial that will show me some real loving…
